ELMRIDGE COMMERCE LLC, trading as Elmridge Home, is the controller responsible for personal information processed through shopelmridge.com. This policy explains our handling of customer information under applicable UK data protection law.
Information we process
- Contact details such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order information, products purchased, payment status, transaction references, delivery records, returns, exchanges and refunds.
- Information you provide when contacting customer service or making a privacy request.
- Technical information needed to operate and protect the store, such as IP address, browser type, device information, session data and security logs.
- Optional marketing preferences or optional analytics information only where those features are enabled and the appropriate permission has been obtained.
Payment information is processed through the checkout and payment services used for your selected payment method. We use payment status and transaction references to administer orders and refunds.

Who receives information
We provide the information necessary to operate your purchase to our store platform Shopify, payment services handling your chosen payment method, delivery services, and professional advisers supporting accounting, legal or security work. They receive information relevant to their role. We remain responsible for selecting and managing our service arrangements and for responding to your privacy enquiries.
We do not sell customer personal information. We disclose information to public authorities only where required or permitted by applicable law.
International handling of data
Our company is based in the United States. Customer information may be processed in the United States and other countries used by our store and service providers. For transfers subject to UK restrictions, we use applicable adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards, including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum where required. Contact us for information about the safeguards applying to your data.
Retention
We retain order, transaction and accounting records for 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year. Customer support correspondence is normally retained for up to 2 years after the matter is closed. Records relevant to an unresolved claim or a legal obligation are retained for the necessary additional period. Data no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
Cookie storage periods depend on their purpose. Session technologies expire at the end of the session; persistent technologies remain until their stated expiry or deletion. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email support@shopelmridge.com to exercise your rights. We may request only the information needed to verify your identity and normally respond within one calendar month, explaining any lawful extension.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You may contact us first so we can address your concern, but this is not a condition for making a complaint.
Marketing, children and security
If you choose to receive marketing, you may unsubscribe through the message or contact us. Ordering is not conditional on marketing consent. We do not intentionally collect children’s information for marketing. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted.
We use access controls, appropriate technical safeguards and staff procedures to protect personal information. We investigate security incidents and provide any notifications required by law.
Policy changes
We explain significant changes to our use of personal information before applying them where notice or renewed consent is required.

We do not process orders, returns, exchanges or refunds on weekends or UK public holidays. Calendar-day deadlines in these policies still apply. We arrange processing in advance where necessary to meet those deadlines.
